First Officer

Job Summary:
The First Officer collaborates with the Captain on each flight, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely air transportation for company employees, representatives, and their associates. He/She will serve as Second in Command on all flights, adhering to all related competencies and responsibilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serves as Second in Command (SIC) for all flights.
- Verifies aircraft compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Conducts preflight inspections, verifies current aircraft databases, and reviews weight and balance, fuel onboard, and aircraft performance before each flight.
- Coordinates aircraft handling and fueling with Fixed Based Operators (FBO’s) under the Captain's supervision.
- Prepares flight plans and evaluates weather conditions at the destination and en route, prioritizing safety. Makes informed decisions regarding proceeding as planned, diverting, delaying, or canceling flights.
- Ensures the aircraft is prepared for flight, clean, and stocked with necessary provisions for passenger safety and comfort.
- Provides excellent customer service to all passengers.
- Coordinates travel needs, including catering and ground transportation.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2500 logged flight hours required.
- Minimum of 500 logged flight hours in multi-engine aircraft required.
- Minimum of 250 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in turbine-powered aircraft required.
- Must meet all currency requirements regarding instrument flight time and night landings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with flight department personnel, company employees, and associates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Air Traffic Control (ATC).
- Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate required.
- Commercial Multi-Engine certificate with the ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot certificate required.
- Must maintain a First Class FAA medical certificate.
- Must possess a valid passport with the ability to travel to Canada.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires medium work, involving exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The role involves frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching, as well as constant balancing, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling. Constant near and far vision, depth perception, and color vision are required. The role also demands frequent talking and hearing abilities.
Working Conditions:
The employee may be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. The role frequently involves work in well-lighted, climate-controlled areas. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold or heat (non-weather related), dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged exposure to vibration, high-pitched or loud noises, and unprotected heights may occur. Frequent repetitive motion and constant CRT (Computer Monitor(s)) use are required.
Travel:
Travel is required and may include days, nights, weekday/weekends, and overnight stays.
Driving:
Based on assigned tasks, the employee may be assigned a company vehicle, requiring the appropriate driver's license.
Expected Salary Range:
$90,000.00 - $134,000.00
