G450 Pilot in Command - Houston, TX

EJM is seeking a qualified and dedicated Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G450 aircraft based in Houston, TX (KCXO). This exclusive two-pilot account is further supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician flying under Part 135 regulations. This impeccably maintained aircraft, estimated to fly approximately 300 hours annually with 200 hours dedicated to retail charter, presents an exceptional opportunity to join EJM's esteemed Part 135 certificate. Frequent destinations include Los Angeles, Miami, Salt Lake City, and the Caribbean.
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. He or she adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
This is not a commutable position. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Houston area. Applicants within a 3-hour driving radius of Conroe, TX, particularly those in the Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth areas, will be considered. A G450/V550 type rating is highly preferred.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Leads Flight Department Success: Manages client relationships, balances client and EJM needs, and proactively communicates to address potential issues. Collaborates with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all maintenance events and tasks. Completes owner/account duties, including invoice reviews, vendor relations, and crew schedules. Supports flight department crew members and reports concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot. Manages administrative matters, including supplies, subscriptions, and crew schedules.
- Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight: Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with regulations. Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks. Employs Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology. Complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator. Completes aircraft pre-flight tasks, monitors ground servicing, and records discrepancies. Delivers passenger briefings and caters to special needs. Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM).
- Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience: Provides quality service to owners and passengers while enhancing the EJM service experience. Collaborates with crew members and internal partners to provide a consistent service experience. Resolves conflict in an acceptable manner.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance: Maintains required training and recency of experience. Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety concerns. Ensures crew members remain qualified and comply with company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
- Prior experience flying under Part 135 regulations.
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Houston-Conroe area is strongly preferred.
- Residence within a 3-hour driving distance to KCXO is preferred (Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth applicants are encouraged to apply).
- G450/V550 type rating is highly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions associated with the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
