Position Purpose:
The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience, maintaining a stellar safety record on every flight. They represent NetJets, ensuring not only safe and technically accurate transportation, but also providing an exceptional service experience for all Owners and passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe aircraft operation from taxi to landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greets Owners/passengers pre-flight, briefing them on specific flight details, itineraries, weather updates, and safety procedures.
- Provides in-flight service, including the handling of alcohol and catering.
- Loads and properly stows baggage.
- Manages flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Acts as the final authority on the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serves as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO to departure at the final destination.
- Communicates maintenance issues to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC).
- Completes all relevant paperwork associated with maintenance issues.
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Written Exam completed.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Experience:
Experience is evaluated based on FAA requirements for ATP and R-ATP certificates, not a specific number of years.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or qualification for either.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Flight time requirements based on qualifications, including 1,500 total hours or reduced hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate or military qualification.
- Specific cross-country, fixed-wing pilot-in-command, night, and instrument flight time requirements.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
- Availability for varied work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to adjust to rapid changes.
- Ability to manage rest for flight duty.
- Ability to be away from home for multiple days and nights, including staying in hotels.
- Ability to secure required airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass a Transportation Security Administration background screening.
- Valid State driver’s license.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
- Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Ability to exert physical force to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Ability to work around animals, including the handling and care prior to, during and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range:
$69,932 – $95,696
