Position Overview
Executive Jet Management seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a 2024 Falcon 900LX aircraft account based in Teterboro, NJ (KTEB). This is a dedicated 3-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The aircraft operates primarily under Part 91 with internal Part 135 operations, accumulating approximately 300 flight hours annually. This position is not commutable and requires the successful candidate to reside within a two-hour radius of Teterboro (KTEB). The operational profile is approximately 90% domestic and 10% international flights.
The Pilot in Command assumes ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently providing an exceptional service experience to clients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe operation of the flight and delivering an exceptional service experience, which includes:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks as required for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodologies to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as necessary.
- Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verification of the maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Recording all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitoring and overseeing all aircraft ground servicing activities, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs.
- Effectively utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with the crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Providing quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining required regulatory and company training, proficiency, and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is required.
- An FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Falcon 900LX) is preferred.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
