Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is seeking qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) candidates to join an established flight department. This department is preparing to take delivery of a new 2024 Citation Longitude aircraft. Based in Council Bluffs, Iowa (CBF Airport), this is a three-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. The flight department operates approximately 400 hours annually under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The position requires the successful candidate to reside within driving distance of the Council Bluffs, Iowa airport (CBF).

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations while ensuring an exceptional client experience. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:

  • Confirming crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completing necessary flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations for each assignment.
  • Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
  • Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required.
  • Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
  • Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable.
  • Recording all aircraft discrepancies following company SOPs.
  • Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished according to SOPs.
  • Conducting thorough passenger briefings compliant with company policy and regulations.
  • Delivering the highest level of customer service, addressing any special passenger needs.
  • Effectively utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.

Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:

  • Providing quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, continuously identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
  • Investigating and resolving service deviations promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience.
  • Addressing conflict and challenges constructively.

Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:

  • Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and ensuring recency of experience requirements are met.
  • Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate required.
  • First Class Medical Certificate required.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of professional aviation experience.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is required.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.

Minimum Flight Time Requirements:

  • Total flight time: 3500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours
