Position Overview
Executive Jet Management is actively seeking a highly qualified Pilot In Command (PIC) for a Challenger 650 aircraft operating under Part 91 regulations. This is a two-pilot account characterized by low annual utilization, estimated at approximately 150 flight hours per year. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate significant flexibility with scheduling and the ability to operate effectively within a dynamic, on-demand environment. The role offers the flexibility of a home base located near either Atlanta, Georgia, or West Palm Beach, Florida.
While this operation does not include a dedicated onboard maintenance technician, a full-time maintenance coordinator provides comprehensive support for all maintenance planning and oversight, ensuring operational integrity. The Pilot In Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This encompasses strict adherence to all regulatory and company policies, alongside the consistent delivery of an exceptional service experience to the principal.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot In Command performs essential duties including, but not limited to:
- Ensuring Flight Safety:
- Verifying that crewing and trip assignments meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required.
- Serving as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Performing thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, including reviewing maintenance status to ensure mission capability, and recording all aircraft discrepancies per company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring completion of all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings aligned with company policy and regulations.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating special passenger needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear, timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.
- Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Providing high-quality service to aircraft owners and passengers.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns via appropriate channels.
Certifications and Licenses
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
Experience Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in aviation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is required, with type experience in the applicable fleet (Challenger 650) strongly preferred.
- Must possess an FAA Type rating for the applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
