Responsibilities:
- Acts as Pilot in Command (PIC) of flights, holding final authority for the operation of the aircraft.
- Maintains a culture of safety and efficient procedures while prioritizing customer service.
- Cultivates a respectful and trusting relationship with passengers and flight department members.
- Serves as a technical expert on assigned aircraft, demonstrating proficiency in operations and maintenance interface.
- Evaluates weather conditions and makes informed decisions regarding flight operations, including delays, cancellations, and route deviations.
- Provides exceptional customer service to passengers, adhering to applicable government regulations and MSG Aviation’s flight standards.
- Ensures aircraft cleanliness and preparedness for flight, including safety and comfort provisions for passengers.
- Meets scheduling directives, complying with relevant regulations and MSG Aviation’s flight standards.
- Develops flight plans and contingency plans.
- Calculates aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts.
- Oversees preflight inspections.
- Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including diligent use of aircraft checklists.
- Manages and coordinates flight and cabin crew performance, fostering a cohesive team environment and mentoring crewmembers.
- Maintains the highest levels of personal integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- G550 or G650 Type Rating required.
- Valid FAA Class I medical certificate.
- Preferred: 5,000 hours total time, 2,000 hours turbine time, 1,500 hours Pilot in Command, and 500 hours large cabin corporate aircraft experience.
- Previous experience operating in 14 CFR Part 91 or 135 environments is required, with a thorough understanding of 14 CFR Part 91 and ICAO Standards.
- Extensive knowledge of assigned aircraft, client service expectations and skills, CFRs, ICAO Standards, applicable International Jurisdiction Regulations, MSG Aviation SOPs, and Meteorological reports.
- Experience with large cabin Gulfstream aircraft is preferred.
- Strong technical background, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities.
- Demonstrated track record of excellent working relationship with the FAA.
- Strong desire for professional engagement, growth, and enterprise-caliber development.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, split days off, and weekends and holidays in a 24/7 environment.
Pay Range: $164,000 - $300,000 USD
