Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment), a leader in live entertainment, seeks an experienced and dedicated Lead Flight Attendant to deliver exceptional safety and service to its valued clients, travelers, and guests. This role demands a professional demeanor and unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and MSG Aviation's Flight Operations Manual (FOM). The Lead Flight Attendant will report directly to the Senior Manager Flight Attendant, providing essential support across all phases of cabin service and operations, ensuring each flight is meticulously managed and exceeds expectations. Furthermore, this position plays a pivotal role in coordinating the scheduling of both full-time and contract Flight Attendants, working closely with the Senior Manager Flight Attendant.

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in customer relations, possessing a keen ability to assess and meet the diverse needs of passengers with a high level of attention to detail. This crucial information will be effectively collected and communicated to the flight crew and Flight Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong culture of safety within MSG Aviation, implementing efficient procedures that support unparalleled customer service.
  • Function as a collaborative crew member, working seamlessly with the flight deck crew, maintenance, and Flight Dispatch.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the MSG Aviation Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), including all aircraft cabin systems (environmental, galley, seating/berthing, lavatories), and traveler productivity tools (communications, WIFI, entertainment).
  • Communicate pertinent trip information to the department regarding upcoming flights and review post-flight specifics to resolve any potential issues or challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Pilot and Senior Manager Flight Attendant in scheduling assigned trips, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Plan meticulously detailed menus in coordination with executive assistants and the Senior Manager Flight Attendant.
  • Assist in ensuring the aircraft stockroom is fully equipped with all standard food and beverage items necessary for daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain a curated list of preferred catering companies and restaurants at frequently visited destinations.
  • Assist in the thorough vetting of all catering vendors for food and beverage safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness before utilizing their services. Conduct on-site audits of frequent providers on at least an annual basis, and maintain copies of Health Department inspection reports for all frequented catering providers.
  • Foster a strong team atmosphere among flight attendants, encouraging open dialogue for suggestions and collaborative experiences that drive improvement and recognition.
  • Assist in scheduling, training, and conducting initial and recurrent emergency training certifications in compliance with FOM requirements and the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) Standard. Oversee revisions to the FAM.
  • Assist in training qualified flight attendants to the same standard of excellence in catering, VIP service/cabin sections, specific necessary items, and pre-flight/post-flight administrative duties.
  • Assist in the stocking and ordering of necessary service items, specific items, and passenger-requested items.
  • Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System, understanding that it is each person's responsibility to identify, anticipate, and report safety-related concerns.
  • Participate in MSG Aviation special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ten or more years of successful experience as a Flight Attendant serving high-profile and high-net-worth travelers.
  • Excellent command presence within the cabin, effectively engaging with MSG Aviation clients, travelers, and guests.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a strong "team orientation."
  • A comprehensive background and working knowledge of Culinary Arts, Food Safety, Beverage Selection/Management, Menu Planning, and Presentation.
  • Valid US Passport(s) with no foreign jurisdiction entry/exit restrictions, as well as all required visas and foreign work permits.
  • Ability to successfully pass initial and random drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Bachelor's degree or progress toward completion is preferred.
  • Advanced Culinary Arts training (such as CIA or equivalent).
  • Formal Flight Attendant Certification by Flight Safety or a 14 CFR Part 121 Carrier, or equivalent.
  • Current (within the last 12 months) Safety Training certification (MedAire, FACTS, Flight Safety).
  • Current Emergency Medical "First Responder" certification.
  • A valid driver's license. The candidate must maintain consistent, reliable, and flexible access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage to operate it independently based on client needs and assignments.

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, split days off, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to Long Island, NY.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $83,000 to $175,000 USD.
