Job Summary

The Supervisor, Inflight Training (Recurrent Inflight Training) is responsible for overseeing and managing the effective implementation of all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated training, along with other essential training programs required by the Inflight Department for Flight Attendants. This pivotal role involves the integration of new and changing materials utilizing advanced educational tools. This position primarily operates from one of Frontier Airlines' training centers located in Orlando, Florida, or Denver, Colorado.

Essential Functions

The incumbent in this position performs a range of critical duties, including but not limited to:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the designated Inflight Training Center in Denver or Orlando.
• Managing on-location situations that may arise, such as student dismissals, behavioral issues, interactions with host hotels, and coordination with partner vendors.
• Acting as the on-the-spot decision-maker and primary communicator to the Manager, Inflight Training.
• Conducting FAA and DOT regulated Recurrent and Requalification training sessions.
• Ensuring rigorous compliance with all FAA regulations pertinent to Flight Attendant training.
• Supervising Flight Attendant trainees during Initial training, which includes performance assessment, performance management, counseling, coaching, administration of progressive counseling, and trainee termination when necessary.
• Supervising, scheduling, and providing support to line trainers.
• Maintaining qualification as a Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant.
• Overseeing Inflight contract trainers and facilitators during training periods.
• Assisting with the writing and revision of the Flight Attendant Manual.
• Supporting special projects and participating in relevant committees.
• Providing constructive feedback to management and the Inflight training team on personnel-related activities of training participants to ensure collaborative training goal achievement.
• Maintaining meticulous records of all training activities, participants, and results.

Other Functions

Additional responsibilities include:

• Acting as the main contact from the remote training center to the General Office.
• Monitoring and coordinating all correspondence with the FAA in collaboration with the department manager.
• Coordinating the completion of all forms related to Flight Attendant training.
• Responding to Flight Attendant phone calls and questions via email.
• Planning, scheduling, and preparing for Flight Attendant training sessions, including room set-up and clean-up.
• Collaborating with other training departments as needed.
• Supporting other departmental trainers and their training, and assisting the department manager as required.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One (1) year of experience as an Assigned Line Instructor Flight Attendant.
• Professional experience in teaching, training, or adult education.
• One (1) year of experience in FAR 121 programs.

• The ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects and priorities.
• Superior instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills for engaging large groups.
• Proven ability in the evaluation, creation, design, and implementation of curriculum and support materials.
• The capacity to conduct training needs assessments for diverse client groups.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Project management abilities, including efficient production and strong organizational skills.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to all sensitive information.
• The ability to work closely and collaboratively with the instructor group.

Equipment Operated

The role requires operation of Airbus aircraft (for training purposes), computers, door trainers, video and projection equipment, and other Inflight Training department equipment.

Work Environment

The incumbent will operate in several different environments, including normal office settings, classrooms, outdoors, airport facilities, on aircraft, and other offsite facilities. The work schedule may include travel and extended hours (early morning/late evening), determined by station operational and hangar hours. The employee must be willing to work on the aircraft as a regular crewmember for Initial Operating Experience (IOE) training and proficiency checks.

Physical Effort

Moderate physical activity is required, involving the handling of objects up to 75 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Supervision Received

The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures under general supervision, receiving detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.

Positions Supervised

The Supervisor oversees contract trainers, primarily for the duration of training workshops, and maintains an oversight role over class participants while they are in training.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $86,366.
