F-35 Contract Instructor Pilot
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced F-35 Contract Instructor Pilot to join their team at Eielson AFB, Alaska. This role is crucial in supporting upgrade, readiness, and continuation training for military pilots in two operational F-35 squadrons through the execution of approved training syllabi in the F-35 Full Mission Simulator (FMS).
About the Role
The F-35 Contract Instructor Pilot will be responsible for providing instruction to military pilots in areas such as emergency procedures, instrument procedures, tactics, and upgrade qualification training. The position involves operating the Instructor Operating Station (IOS), serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pilot training and tactics, and collaborating with the Lockheed Martin team to achieve training objectives. The role requires developing and maintaining a deep understanding of F-35 aircraft systems, procedures, and tactics, as well as staying current with training program updates. A flexible work schedule may be required to accommodate customer needs, and travel to other sites may also be necessary.
Requirements

Final Transferable Secret security clearance with last Periodic Reinvestigation within the last six years.

Ability to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.

Minimum of 1000 hours fighter aircraft flight time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft.

Former military Instructor Pilot (IP) experience.

Prior experience in Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training.

Operational experience with advanced sensor systems (NVS, LANTIRN, Helmet Mounted Cuing, etc.).

Familiarity with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.

In-depth knowledge of military publications and fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems.

Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Outstanding interpersonal skills, leadership traits, and communication abilities.

Ability to organize and provide customer support.

Willingness to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedules.
Qualifications

Current or demonstrated experience as a USAF/USN/USMC IP with multi-role fighter experience.

Former Weapon School, Top Gun, or MAWTS graduate.

Fifth generation Full Mission Simulator (FMS) experience as an operator and/or instructor.

F-35 Instructor Pilot experience.
