General Atomics Systems Integration (GA-SI) is seeking a UAV Instructor/Operator for their location in Fort Carson, Colorado. This full-time, onsite position involves coordinating ground and flight operations for Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs), including mission planning, execution, and safety protocols.
About the Role
The UAV Instructor/Operator will be responsible for coordinating and participating in ground and flight operations efforts. This includes mission planning, execution, briefing and debriefing, aircrew resource management, and ensuring ground and flight safety. The role involves serving as an Instructor/Operator for assigned UAVs and may require remotely piloting vehicles for engineering tests and flight demonstrations. The position also entails defining, planning, organizing, and executing flight programs and test events, ensuring compliance with service guidance, company policies, and FAA regulations.
Requirements

Education/Training equivalent to a four-year technical degree or trade school, or equivalent professional/military experience in UAV or aviation.

Minimum of five years of experience in UAV operation or aviation.

Demonstrated basic understanding of UAV and FAA principles, theories, and concepts.

At least 600 hours in a OSGCS/UGCS, with 200 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).

Graduate of a DA or DES IO course.

Ability to maintain a FAA Class II flight physical.

Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Basic knowledge of computer operations and applications.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

Familiarity with Army forms, records, and publications, as well as Contractor Flight and Ground Operations procedures and records (DCMA 8210).

US Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
