About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a dedicated Education Instructor to support the educational needs of patients, parents, and families within its communities. This role involves program planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on delivering comprehensive educational programs through virtual and classroom settings.
Responsibilities

Consult with the Program Coordinator on program planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet community and patient needs.

Collect and assess data to identify educational needs, trends, and issues.

Develop and deliver educational programs, including virtual sessions and in-service training, to enhance the competence of community and nursing staff.

Foster positive relationships with the hospital and the wider community to promote a favorable image for Baylor Scott & White Health.
Requirements

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to set up and facilitate both online and in-person classes and support groups.

Technical proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Webex).

Demonstrated ability to teach skills clearly, utilizing examples and props as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience of at least four years above the minimum qualification.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience with prenatal, postpartum, or labor and delivery is preferred.

The ability to float to other facilities is preferred.

Hours vary, typically between 8-20 hours per pay period, depending on class type and frequency, with flexibility for weekends and mid to late evening weekday shifts.
