CAE USA Inc. seeks a qualified Flight Instructor to deliver flight and ground school training using simulators and classroom instruction. The role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients, adhering to regulatory standards and company curricula. This position is based in the United States and requires a commitment to a 2-year training period.
About the Role

Provides simulator and/or classroom instruction for license issuance, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications across various aircraft types.

Conducts thorough and professional pre and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.

Performs administrative duties, including completing training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking instructional qualifications.

Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in curriculum and courseware development when required.

Expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after 1.5+ years of service, dependent on business needs.

Requires domestic and international travel during the first six months of employment for training.
Requirements

Hold or be eligible to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate.

Possess a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Jet Type Rating.

Prior Part 142 TCE experience is recommended.

CFII/MEI experience is recommended.

Demonstrated strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Experience flying business aircraft is a plus.

Must possess a professional character and ability to create a welcoming learning environment.

Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across multiple levels.

Capability to tailor training sessions to a diverse customer base.

Keen attention to detail for maintaining accurate and timely records.

Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladders into a simulator or aircraft cockpit.

Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl.

Must be able to detect odors or hear sounds to identify issues with simulators.

Physical stamina and stature to maintain composure in an airplane seat while wearing a parachute during aerobatic flight profiles.

Ability to work in areas with risk of electrical shock from moving mechanical parts.

Willingness to work in conditions including extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.

Physical ability for sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive hand/wrist motions for writing and typing.
