CAE is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Flight Training Instructor to join its team. This pivotal role involves the delivery of comprehensive flight simulator and ground school instruction, ensuring adherence to regulatory agency standards, CAE-approved curricula, and customer requirements for various aircraft types. As a subject matter expert, the instructor will guide clients through their training journey, with the potential to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after 1.5 years, aligning with business needs.
About the Role

Provide simulator/flight and classroom instruction for the issuance of pilot licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications on assigned aircraft types.

Conduct thorough and professional pre and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the creation of curricula and courseware when required.

Complete essential administrative duties, including maintaining training records and recommending remedial training as necessary.

A two-year training commitment is required for this position.
Requirements

Hold or meet qualifications to receive an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

Possess a minimum of one unrestricted Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Jet Type Rating.

Must participate in CAE’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Eligibility for a Department of Defense (DoD) Personal Security Clearance is mandatory.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Ability to perform domestic and international travel as required.

Capability to walk and/or climb stairs and ladders into a simulator or airplane cockpit.

Physical ability to stoop, bend, and crawl on or under machinery.
Qualifications

Prior Part 142 Training Center Evaluator (TCE) experience is recommended.

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) experience is recommended.

A demonstrable passion for teaching, coupled with strong communication skills.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Experience flying business aircraft is a distinct advantage.
