CAE USA INC | C27J Instructor

CAE is seeking a C-130J Simulator Pilot Instructor to provide training, administrative, and subject matter expertise support for C-130J Pilot Initial Qualification courses, secondary upgrade courses, and currency training. This role, based at CAE's facility, reports to the C-130J Lead Instructor and involves classroom and simulator instruction, assessment, and contribution to aviation safety management systems.

About the Role

The C-130J Simulator Pilot Instructor will be responsible for the preparation, delivery, assessment, maintenance, and evaluation of training and assessment materials. This includes conducting training sessions in both classroom and simulator environments. The role also contributes to aviation safety management for their training platform and supports internal CAE business initiatives as directed by the Lead Instructor.

Requirements

• Possess qualifications and experience to be authorized as a competent Simulator Pilot Instructor by the Commanding Officer of RAAF Central Flying School.
• Hold, or be capable of obtaining, a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or recognized equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years Military Qualified Flying Instructor or Operational Flying Instructor experience in an aircrew training environment. Alternatively, a minimum of 1000 command hours on multi-engine, multi-crew tactical transport aircraft such as the C-27J, C-130J, or similar.
• Completed or ability to complete ground training segments of the C-130J Pilot Conversion Course.
• Hold Australian Citizenship and possess or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Desirable Criteria

• Previous Military Qualified Flying Instructor or Operational Flying Instructor experience on the C-130J aircraft.
• Hold, or have held, a Military Qualified Flying Instructor or Operational Flying Instructor Rating or civil equivalent, with a minimum of 200 hours in airborne instruction and training roles.
• Experience as a flight simulator instructor.
