A leading aviation training organization located in Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Simulator Flight Instructor to join their team in a permanent capacity.
Role Overview:
The Simulator Flight Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight instruction to aspiring and experienced pilots. This individual will:
- Instruct helicopter type ratings, recurrent flight training, and specialized flight courses in accordance with the AWTA syllabus, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
- Play an active role in the development of new training courses, incorporating the latest industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
- Possess the ability to deliver courses at offsite locations when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver Pilot Type Rating and Recurrent Flight courses with precision and clarity.
- Provide instruction on other relevant training courses as required.
- Maintain currency as an instructor (and Examiner) by pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities and staying abreast of the latest aviation regulations, procedures, and technologies.
- Complete all necessary training documentation accurately and within designated deadlines.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of AWTA's curriculum, products, and services.
- Ensure all training materials and publications are meticulously maintained and updated.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Rating.
- A minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification is mandatory, with Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certification highly preferred.
Competencies & Attributes:
- Proven experience as a helicopter flight instructor and/or examiner.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Licensure/Certification:
- FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Rating is required.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is mandatory, with Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) strongly preferred.
