The role is required to promote, develop and maintain the highest standards of training delivery in accordance with current approved syllabi. You will be responsible for the delivery of the flying training programme and for the integration of all flying, simulator and ground theory training, including overall responsibility for trainee performance management.
You will be responsible at all times to maintain the Company’s image and reputation as a world leading supplier of the highest quality of aviation training and instil within trainees a professional approach to personal development and best aviation practice.
You will be responsible for ensuring that Safety Management and Standards of delivery are promoted and delivered through out all training activities with L3 Commercial Training Solutions employees, contractors, trainees, visitors as appropriate.
You will be expected to act as an instructor and examiner for no more than 30% of your working time, with the remainder of your working time being devoted to your CFI duties, this will include but not be limited to oversight of compliance for the ATO with any given regulator / Competent Authority

Main responsibilities:
+ Responsible to the Global Head of Training – to assist with the delivery of professional flight training programmes.
+ Responsibility for trainee performance management in association with the Global Head of Training – UK and oversight of Bangkok Flight Training Centres.
+ Work with all members of the supporting teams to maintain operating standards and discipline.
+ Promote and maintain Safety Management and regulatory best practice as it applies to the effective delivery of the training programme.
+ To act as a Flight Instructor and Examiner for 30% of working time, with the remainder being devoted to Management activities to support the effective running and the on-going compliance demands of the ATO.
+ Arrange regular standards meetings with the training delivery teams and ensure that minutes are prepared and circulated to all participants and copied to the Global Head of Training
+ You are expected to maintain your medical, licence qualifications and currency.
+ You will deputize for the Global Head of Training as and when required.
+ Assist the global Head of Training to ensure the trainee training programme is optimized, making the best use of the Company assets whilst ensuring compliance with the organizations Aviation’s Operations and Training Manuals. Manage trainee leave and sickness demands accordingly.
+ Review and monitor trainee TRFs to ensure accurate and timely completion to the required quality levels.
+ Assist the Global Head of Training by generate appropriate course reports and coordinate the trainee sign-out process.
+ Assist the Global Head of Training during the weekly planning meetings and if required deputize for him.
+ Undertake other tasks that from time to time a CFI could reasonably be expected to undertake.
+ Ensure the instructor team, including consultants, deliver all training to the required standards and operations as directed by policies and procedures set out by the ATO Global Head of Training.
+ Develop and support the simulator instructor community within the LTC and Bangkok, as required.
+ Ensure all instructors and examiners in engaged with Airline Training are competent and qualified for the functions they undertake.
+ Ensure instructor standardization within UK and Bangkok Training Centres takes place in accordance with company policies.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will have:
+ A proven Commercial Air Transport career operating as Captain
+ An extensive training background
+ Significant training management experience
+ Experience of working within UK CAA and EASA regulatory frameworks
+ Valid UK / EASA ATPL and Class I Medical
+ TRI / TRE Qualifications
+ Preference for:
+ A330 series
+ A320 series
+ B737 series
+ Ability to work in a high pressured and dynamic environment
+ An own it attitude with a proven capability to operate and make decisions in a high pressure business environment
+ Excellent management and communication skills with a proven track record of successfully leading a team
+ Strong Customer-focused and Customer care skills
+ Strong report writing skills
+ Self-motivated
+ Ability to adapt learning styles and differentiate between trainees
+ Ability to manage teams of flight instructors
