First Officer
The First Officer, reporting to the Chief Pilot within the Flight Operations department, will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles, the First Officer will assist the Captain and crew, ensuring adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct preflight inspections of the aircraft and freight, verifying their condition and readiness.
- Assist the crew with all necessary flight-related paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Operate the aircraft with meticulous attention to company policies, aviation regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Proactively identify and report any unsafe conditions observed on the ground or during flight.
- Perform comprehensive post-flight inspections of the aircraft, documenting any findings.
Education and Experience:
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; post-secondary education is preferred.
- Previous experience under FAR Part 121 is advantageous, although not a mandatory prerequisite.
Language Skills:
Demonstrated ability to comprehend, read, and write in the English language is essential. Proficiency in composing routine reports and correspondence with clarity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Certificate or a Restricted Multi-Engine Airline Pilot Certificate.
- A minimum of 2500 hours of total flight time is required; 4000 hours is preferred. Military candidates may be considered with greater than 1000 hours total time. Turbine and PIC time is flexible for military applicants.
- Minimum 1500 hours of turbine (jet) flight time.
- Minimum 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) turbine (jet) flight time.
- Possession of a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- FCC Radio License.
- Must have no restrictions on international travel.
- Must possess a current US Passport.
- Ability to successfully pass a 10-year security background check, as well as pre-employment Drug and Alcohol tests.

Work Environment:
The First Officer will perform duties both within and outside of the aircraft cockpit, exposed to a wide range of meteorological conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
