Position Summary
Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) for Super Midsize jet aircraft operations, including Part 91 and 135 flight missions. The SIC reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures. Candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of the Austin, TX base.

Essential Functions

Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company policy and CFRs.

Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty, trip notifications, and flight reporting.

Manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.

Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current.

Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.

Demonstrate proactive decision-making skills and uphold Jet Linx core values.
Professional Qualifications and Requirements

ATP Certificate (Unrestricted).

1st Class Medical Certificate.
-
FCC Restricted Radio License.

Current passport and unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license and provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Successful completion of an FAA Pilot Record Database review.

Preferred: Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to frequently move up to 50 pounds.

Requirement to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing (inclusive of marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines).
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $124,000 to $160,000, contingent upon geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and professional experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
