About the Role

The First Officer is a critical member of the flight crew, operating flights in strict compliance with the current flight plan, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions when not at the controls. The role requires continuous monitoring and notification to the Captain regarding changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions, or geographical position. The First Officer is also responsible for assisting the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight and ensuring the safe navigation of the aircraft through continuous and independent checks of geographical position, terrain, and weather clearance. Maintaining the highest personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times is paramount.

Etihad Airways provides a competitive annual package, inclusive of basic salary, flying pay, a housing allowance, and layover/meal allowances. The opportunity exists to earn up to 513,732 AED (approximately USD 138,318) tax-free per annum, based on flying approximately 75 hours per month. Annual salary increments are based on performance. What We Are Looking For

Prospective candidates must meet the following stringent criteria:

• A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
• A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with FMS coupled to APFDS) or high-performance military jets.
• Minimum 500 hours on Boeing aircraft.
• Currently flying on any Boeing aircraft.
• Must have flown any Boeing aircraft within the last 12 months.
• Type rating on any Boeing aircraft must be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
• Hold a current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL. Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
• Possess an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
• Maximum age of 50 years on the date of joining.
• Demonstrate English Language Fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or better.
• For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.
