Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in flight operations. Responsibilities include conducting flights in strict compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Captain's instructions when not at the controls. They are required to promptly notify the Captain of any changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control instructions, or geographical position upon their return. Assisting the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight is also a key function. Maintaining continuous and independent checks on the aircraft's geographical position to ensure safe terrain and weather clearance is paramount. Furthermore, the role demands the maintenance of high personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance, serving as a professional representative of Etihad Airways at all times.

Candidate Profile

Prospective candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Possession of a minimum of 2500 hours of total flying time.
• Accumulation of at least 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a FMS coupled to APFDS) or high-performance military jets.
• A minimum of 500 hours specifically on Boeing aircraft.
• Must be currently flying on any Boeing aircraft.
• Must have flown any Boeing aircraft within the last 12 months.
• Hold a type rating on any Boeing aircraft that is valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
• Possess a current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL (Frozen ATPL is only accepted for UAE citizens).
• Hold an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
• Must be 50 years old or younger on the date of joining.
• Demonstrate English Language Fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or higher.
• For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.

Remuneration and Benefits

Etihad Airways offers a competitive annual package. This includes a basic salary, flying pay, a housing allowance to facilitate securing a preferred residence, and layover and meal allowances. An earning potential of up to 513,732 AED (approximately USD 138,318) tax-free per annum is achievable based on flying 75 hours per month. Annual salary increments are based on performance. Additional benefits include:
