The Role

A Pilot at Etihad Airways is responsible for conducting flights in strict compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions when assuming control. The pilot must notify the Captain promptly of any changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions, or geographical position upon their return to controls. The role requires assisting the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight as requested. A critical responsibility is confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check on the aircraft's geographical position to ensure safe terrain and weather clearance. Pilots are expected to maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance at all times as a representative of Etihad Airways.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
• A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit, or high-performance military jet aircraft. (Glass Cockpit is defined as an aircraft with a Flight Management System coupled to an Automatic Flight Director System).
• A minimum of 500 hours on any Boeing aircraft type.
• Must be currently flying on any Boeing aircraft.
• Must have flown any Boeing aircraft within the last 12 months.
• Type rating on any Boeing aircraft must be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
• Possession of a current and unrestricted ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Frozen ATPL is not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
• Possession of an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
• Maximum age of 50 years on the date of joining.
• English Language Fluency (written and verbal) proficiency at Level 4 or better.
• For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted towards the required minimums.
