The Role

The First Officer is responsible for conducting flights in compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions when not at the controls, promptly notifying the Captain of any changes upon their return. The role involves assisting the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight as requested. A key responsibility is confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining continuous and independent checks on the aircraft's geographical position to ensure safe terrain and weather clearance. First Officers are expected to maintain a consistently high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as representatives of Etihad Airways.

What You'll Bring

To be considered for this aviation job opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A minimum of 2500 total flying hours.
A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a FMS coupled to APFDS) or high-performance military jet aircraft.
A minimum of 500 hours on any Boeing aircraft type.
Currently flying on any Boeing aircraft type.
Must have flown any Boeing aircraft type within the last 12 months.
Type rating on any Boeing aircraft must be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
Hold a current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL. Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
Hold an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
Maximum age of 50 years on the date of joining.
English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.
In cases of hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.
