Technical Knowledge Instructor to be based at the Jet2.com Simulator and Training Centres in Bradford, West Yorkshire and Cheadle, Stockport.

What will you do in the role?

Delivering fixed base simulator and classroom training to support the Jet2.com initial and recurrent training programme.

Creating and reviewing groundschool training material using MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Forms and Storyline III software to accompany that training.

Complete additional associated training activities required by the Flight Training Department including classroom technical training and courseware development.
Your key skills and experience:
Technical Knowledge Instructors deliver high quality groundschool training to Jet2 pilots in the classroom, virtual classroom and fixed base flight simulator or fixed base training device.

You will have significant experience of the aviation industry either in a military or civilian environment in a role such as pilot, navigator, flight engineer or maintenance engineer.

Have depth of experience in instructional techniques in a classroom or fixed base simulator environment.

Experienced in the creation and maintenance of training materials such as CBT, slide presentations and instructor guides.

Experience of Airbus operations and/or training is of focus to us at present, however we are also interested to hear from candidates with previous instructional experience on other aircraft types.

Excellent communication skills written and verbal, to provide effective training in a classroom or virtual classroom, a fixed base flight simulator or during a practical training exercise.

Ability to create high quality training material using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Storyline III, or other similar applications.

Considerate of time management to ensure all training events are completed within exacting timescales.

Ability to manage taskings from either the Technical Training Manager or Flight Crew Training Managers.

The desire to work in a fast-moving dynamic environment where roster changes are sometimes required to suit business needs.

Ability to monitor student progress through courses and to be able to identify students falling below the required standard. Provision of remedial training for such eventualities.

Excellent administrative skills to accurately record training progress of students.

This is a salaried position based at the Jet2.com Training Centres in either Bradford, West Yorkshire or Cheadle, Stockport., but may also include travel to other associated training venues.
This position follows a variable roster pattern which may include weekends and unsociable hours. This rostered pattern will equate to 40 hours per week over a 4-week rolling period.
The position is a full-time role. Consideration will be given to a part time/percentage role for fully qualified candidates.
