Ascent Flight Training is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) to join its esteemed team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide world-class flight instruction, expertly guiding students to achieve their full potential and develop into proficient aviators.
- Cultivate a positive and engaging learning environment, leveraging strong leadership and airmanship skills across multi-faceted flying disciplines.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, effectively adapting instructional methods to support students of varying aptitudes and experience levels.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of a first-class, customer-focused service to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate proactively and effectively with cross-functional teams to optimize training outcomes and achieve operational objectives.
- Deliver compelling and informative presentations to diverse audiences, demonstrating strong presentational skills.
- Contribute to the development and continuous updating of courseware, incorporating emerging best practices and operational updates as required.
- Fully engage with and champion the Royal Air Force (RAF) Safety Culture in all operational activities and instructional practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable previous experience as a Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) within a military aviation environment.
- Possession of essential qualifications and/or recommendations from the Royal Air Force (RAF) Central Flying School (CFS).
- A valid UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- A current UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Proven ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Basic Flying Training role, particularly on turbo-prop airframes, would be highly advantageous.
Training & Development:
- Type rating training will be provided as part of the role, ensuring comprehensive preparation for instructional duties.
