Due to the expansion of its Part 147 Training function, Gama Aviation seeks to appoint an experienced Technical Instructor (Fixed Wing). This role is responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and creation of training material specifically within the Part-66, Part-145, and Part-147 regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will be passionate about training and the continuous development of training materials. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver aircraft type courses and compliant training, both online and in person, at various locations worldwide.
- Assess training needs and contribute to the development of suitable training courses aligned with business requirements.
- Develop necessary skills to deliver a range of aircraft training courses effectively.
- Ensure all delivered courses meet required compliance standards.
- Create and author new training material and supporting documentation.
- Act as an examiner for relevant aircraft types covered by the Part-147 approval.
- Perform examination analysis and contribute to the review of the exam question database.
- Provide support to the training department during internal and external audits.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of training delivery processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to technical training within the aerospace industry.
- Commit to ongoing personal development in technical training relevant to the aerospace sector.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Essential:
- Hold an aeronautical, electrical, or mechanical degree, or be a certified Part 66 Licensed Engineer, or hold a qualification in adult learning, or possess experience providing training within the aviation industry.
- Possess previous experience within a Part-147, Part-145, or Part-21 environment, or be an experienced Part-66 Licensed Engineer with a strong desire to impart their knowledge and experience, or possess transferable instructing or teaching experience at A-level/HNC level or above.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct type rated courses on relevant aircraft types included within CAA/EASA Part 147 approval and other regulatory bodies.
- A solid understanding of CAA/EASA Parts 66, 145, and 147 regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability coupled with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- The ability to cope effectively with pressure and change.
- Proven ability to work effectively both on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to other company locations as required.
- Ability to hold a CAA/EASA Form 4 position within the Part 147 organisation.
Advantageous:
- Possession of QLTS/QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience with Beechcraft King Air 300 series and/or Embraer 135/145 aircraft types.
- Previous experience in delivering aircraft maintenance training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Part 147 regulations.
- Experience as an aeronautical type training instructor within a Part-147 environment.
- Proficiency with associated aircraft maintenance documentation.
