Flight Instructor Opportunity with Gama Aviation

Gama Aviation is actively seeking dedicated and skilled aviation professionals to join their esteemed team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for experienced pilots to contribute to high-standard aviation training at a leading Approved Training Organisation (ATO) Fixed-Wing Synthetic Flight Trainer (FSTD) site located in Norway.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time is required.
  • Type Rating: While a specific type rating is not a prerequisite, comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Instructor Qualification: Candidates must have previously held or currently hold a (Part FCL) Instructor qualification.
  • License Requirements: A valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine Rating (ME), Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI), and Type Rating Instructor (TRI) are mandatory.
  • Issuing Authority: Open to Licence Holders from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA).
  • Medical Certificate: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate is essential.
  • English Proficiency: An ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • An existing B200 King Air Type Rating with over 500 hours of experience, suitable for Type Training, would be highly advantageous.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Demonstrates a conscientious approach to upholding the highest aviation standards.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively teach both in individual and classroom settings.
  • Prior experience with EFIS systems, specifically Collins Pro-line or equivalent, is beneficial but not essential.
  • Exhibits a self-motivated and self-sufficient attitude.
  • Possesses excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Is able to work abroad at Gama's approved ATO FSTD site in Norway.
  • Is available for positioning to Norway for typically short periods to perform training duties as per the training schedule.
  • A comprehensive and practical understanding of applicable aviation regulations would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience operating FSTDs is a plus.
  • Exhibits sound problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills.
