Aviation Instructor Opportunity at Gama Aviation
Gama Aviation is actively seeking experienced and dedicated aviation professionals to join their team as an Aviation Instructor. This role offers a compelling opportunity for individuals passionate about flight training and developing the next generation of aviators.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time is required.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided by Gama Aviation.
- Instructor Qualification: Candidates should possess a previously held or current Instructor qualification under Part FCL regulations.
- Preferred Experience: Possession of a B200 King Air Type Rating with over 500 hours of experience, suitable for advanced type training, is highly desirable.
- Required Licenses: Applicants must hold a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine (ME) rating, Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI), and Type Rating Instructor (TRI) qualification.
- Issuing Authority: Licenses must be issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA).
- Medical Certificate: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate is essential.
- English Language Proficiency: An ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level of 4 or higher is required.
- Visa Sponsorship: Please note that visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
Desirable Attributes and Skills:
- A conscientious and diligent approach to upholding the highest aviation standards.
- Proven ability to deliver effective instruction both individually and in a classroom setting.
- Previous experience with EFIS systems, such as Collins Pro-line, or equivalent, would be advantageous, though not essential.
- A self-motivated and self-sufficient attitude, demonstrating initiative and independence.
- Excellent communication and pedagogical skills, essential for effective teaching.
- Flexibility and willingness to work abroad at Gama's approved Approved Training Organisation (ATO) Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) site in Norway for typically short periods, in line with the training schedule.
- A comprehensive and practical understanding of applicable aviation regulations is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications is beneficial.
- Prior experience operating Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) would be an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills are crucial for success in this role.
