Second in Command (SIC) – Hawker 900XP Pilot
Jet Linx is actively seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Second in Command (SIC) for their Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically operating the Hawker 900XP, based in Miami, Florida. This full-time position supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate is expected to reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the Miami, FL base.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command (SIC) plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. The SIC assists in all aspects of flight preparation and execution, adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Jet Linx's established operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Diligent management of duty, flight, and rest times, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Proactive and consistent communication with company dispatch and operations for standby assignments, trip notifications, position reporting, and pre/post-flight documentation.
- Proficient maintenance and management of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications, ensuring operational readiness.
- Verification and maintenance of current navigation charts, aeronautical publications, and company operational manuals.
- Maintenance of a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstration of strong, proactive decision-making capabilities in all operational scenarios.

Minimum Qualifications
- Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current, valid passport with unrestricted travel capabilities to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and adherence to random drug/alcohol testing protocols as required.
- Ability to consent to and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands dictate.
- Physical capability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working predominantly within aircraft and airport terminal environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial or recurrent FAR Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months.

The base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $100,000 to $149,999.98, with the exact compensation determined by geographic location, aircraft type, crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
