Second in Command – Hawker 900XP
Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Second in Command for a Hawker 900XP aircraft, supporting Part 91 and 135 flight operations. This is a full-time position based in Wheeling, IL. The Second in Command is expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of the home base.
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command assists in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times in accordance with company and CFR requirements.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintain and manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
- Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making skills.

Minimum Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
Other Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Current passport.
- ATP (ability to obtain ATP).
- 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug/alcohol testing policies.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- The majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
