Second in Command – Hawker 900XP

Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) to join its team for full-time employment in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This position involves operating midsize jet aircraft under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The ideal candidate must reside within a 2-hour call-out time of the base location or be willing to relocate.

Position Summary

The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This includes adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Flight Time: 500 hours
  • Turbine Flight Time: 100 hours
  • Instrument Flight Time: 150 hours

Essential Functions:

  • Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company policies and CFRs.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
  • Maintain and manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and software.
  • Ensure that all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
  • Maintain a current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Exhibit strong, proactive decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate Jet Linx's core values in all interactions.

Other Requirements:

  • Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license.
  • Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Hold a current passport.
  • Possess an ATP or the ability to obtain one.
  • Hold a current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Hold a FCC Restricted Radio License.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug/alcohol testing.
  • Possess unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
  • Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • The majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
