Second in Command – Challenger 300/350
Full-Time Position – Dallas, TX
Jet Linx is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Second in Command (SIC) to join its team of aviation professionals. The successful candidate will operate Super Midsize jet aircraft in both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. This is a full-time position based in Dallas, Texas, requiring the candidate to reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the designated home base.
The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. In this critical role, the SIC is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This entails strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The SIC will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism in all aspects of flight operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- A minimum of 500 hours multi-engine flight time.
- A minimum of 100 hours turbine flight time.
- A minimum of 150 hours instrument flight time.
Essential Functions:
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times in full compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain constant communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and management of electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and software applications.
- Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are kept current and readily accessible.
- Maintain a current First Class Medical Certificate at all times.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making abilities in all situations.
- Uphold and exemplify Jet Linx’s core values in every interaction and task.
Other Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the preceding 24 months is highly preferred.
- Must possess the ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid, current passport.
- Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot certificate or have the ability to obtain one.
- Must hold a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must possess an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required.
- Must have unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Must be able to successfully release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is a prerequisite.
- The majority of work will be performed in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
- Must have the physical ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
