G600 Captain - Commutable Position
Jet Aviation Staffing is seeking experienced and highly motivated G600 Captains for a Part 91 account. This is a commutable position, allowing candidates to reside anywhere in the United States. The position is based near KBED.
The G600 Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, exercising Pilot in Command authority for all assigned flights. The aircraft typically flies 70-80 flights per year, totaling approximately 200 hours, with worldwide destinations. This role offers a desirable schedule with crew rotations every 30-60 days. The Captain reports to the Lead Captain regarding company operating policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate GVII Type Rating
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time
- 1500 hours Turbine flight time
- 100 hours Night flight time
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time
- 5 years of aviation experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively, without restrictions
- Valid driver's license
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and/or canceling flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flight operations comply with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Implement necessary changes due to en route conditions, ensuring continued flight operations under company guidelines.
- Conduct flights safely and prudently, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure thorough communication with the Second in Command regarding all flight aspects.
- Record and report aircraft discrepancies, referring to the MEL and coordinating with the Director of Maintenance.
- Verify that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from an authorized agency.
- File or ensure the filing of a flight plan with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the destination airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate the duty to the Second in Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command, preparing them for Pilot in Command duties.
- Complete and submit leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports to operations control.
- Actively support open communication on all safety issues, reporting hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegate duties, while retaining responsibility for their completion.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally.

Physical Demands:
The position requires the ability to use hands and fingers, stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The work environment includes both heavy maintenance and upscale customer areas. The noise level is typically moderate, with occasional high volume during aircraft arrivals/departures. Exposure to vibration and occasional fuel fumes may occur. Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions is required. The hangar environment may experience extreme temperatures.
Compensation:
The likely salary range for this position is $300,000-$315,000. Salary will be based on experience, geographic location, and other requirements.
