Pilot in Command (PIC) - Gulfstream 450

Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 450 based in Houston, TX (KCXO).

Purpose of Position

The PIC is the final authority for all flight operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant aircraft operation. This role requires effective communication, sound judgment, and the highest standards of professionalism to deliver an exceptional service experience for owners and passengers. The position supports a corporate aviation owner with a preference for professionalism, preparation, and consistency. The aircraft operates under Part 91 and Part 135, with trips scheduled in advance to promote operational consistency and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safe operation of all flights, including crewing and trip assignments compliance.
  • Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations.
  • Utilizes Threat, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology and Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM).
  • Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Conducts aircraft pre-flight tasks, monitors maintenance status, and records discrepancies.
  • Ensures aircraft ground servicing, including fueling and oil, is accomplished per SOPs.
  • Completes passenger briefings, delivers superior customer service, and accommodates passenger needs.
  • Collaborates with crew members and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provides quality service, identifies opportunities for service enhancement, and resolves service deviations.
  • Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation required; strong preference for heavy-cabin Gulfstream experience.
  • FAA Type rating in applicable fleet (GIV, GV, GVI, GVII or comparable airframe).
  • Minimum flight time requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
