Role Overview

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a highly experienced, safety-focused Senior International Captain to command Gulfstream G600 international flights under FAA Part 91. Based in Houston, Texas, the successful candidate will lead operational decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, manage international flight planning, and provide crew mentorship while delivering premium executive air transportation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for Gulfstream G600 international missions, ensuring full compliance with company policy and FARs applicable to Part 91.
  • Oversee long-range and oceanic flight planning, including performance calculations, weather analysis, and permit coordination.
  • Direct operational logistics, including dispatch, crew scheduling, and ground handling coordination.
  • Execute pre-flight and post-flight inspections to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
  • Maintain operational currency through simulator training and proficiency checks.
  • Mentor crew members in Crew Resource Management (CRM), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain professional interfaces with executives, clients, and international stakeholders.
  • Contribute to safety programs, risk assessments, and operational process improvements.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise for vendor selection and recruiting initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Valid passport with the ability to obtain necessary international visas and permits.
  • Minimum of 6,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours multi-engine jet time.
  • Proven PIC experience in international operations and long-range multi-crew aircraft.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FARs (Part 91) and ICAO standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Command experience in large cabin, long-range aircraft (e.g., GVII/600/500, GVI/650).
  • Instructor or evaluator credentials (e.g., check airman, TR/FE experience).
  • Additional certifications such as A&P or advanced SMS training.
  • Multilingual proficiency relevant to global operational regions.
  • Previous experience in VIP or client-focused executive flight operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in safety management systems, human factors, and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs), flight planning software, and modern avionics.
  • Superior leadership, communication, and critical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to adapt to high-pressure environments and complex international logistics.

Work Environment

This role requires extensive international travel with variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Candidates must be capable of managing extended duty periods and performing physical pre/post-flight inspections.

Compensation and Benefits
