Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for the role of First Officer, candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License.
  • Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and must meet current instrument recency requirements.
  • Valid Transport Canada Multi-Engine Rating.
  • Valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 500 hours total flight time.
  • Completion of IATRA written examinations within the past two years or possession of all ATPL written examinations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Must hold a valid passport at the time of employment.
  • Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status without restrictions. Permanent Residents must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary crew visa documentation for operations within the United States.
  • Completion of a High School diploma.
  • Compliance with Transport Canada English language proficiency standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications that exceed the basic requirements. These include:

  • Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Experience in a two-crew, multi-engine turbine aircraft environment.
  • Total flight time significantly exceeding the minimum 500-hour requirement.
  • Graduation from a recognized aviation college degree or diploma program.
  • Prior commercial or military flight experience.
  • Proficiency with Flight Management Systems (FMS) and/or glass cockpit avionics.
  • Referral from a current Jazz employee.
