Role Overview

Jazz Aviation is actively seeking First Officers to join its award-winning team. This position is ideal for individuals with a profound dedication to aviation safety and outstanding customer service. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in delivering Jazz's high-quality regional flying services.

Please note: Pilot job postings for all locations are consolidated into a common ground school recruitment process. Base assignments are determined on the second day of Jazz ground school. Therefore, candidates need to apply to only one First Officer position, irrespective of the desired location, to initiate their journey with Jazz.

Key Responsibilities

As a First Officer at Jazz Aviation, the individual will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft.
  • Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all passengers.
  • Contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the flight operations team.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A valid and current Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating, meeting all current instrument recency requirements.
  • A valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilots License.
  • A valid Transport Canada Multi-Engine rating.
  • A valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • Successful completion of IATRA written exams within the past two years or ATPL exams.
  • The ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Possession of a current passport at the time of hire.
  • Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status without restrictions.
  • If a Permanent Resident, the ability to obtain and maintain necessary crew visa documentation for operations within the USA.
  • A completed High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English, meeting the Transport Canada English proficiency standard.
  • A minimum of 500 hours of total flying time.

Resume Requirement: Applicants are requested to clearly outline a detailed breakdown of their flying hours, including total time and multi-engine time, on their resume.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate qualifications beyond the basic requirements, including:

  • A Canadian ATPL.
  • Two-crew multi-engine turbine experience.
  • Total flying time significantly exceeding the minimum requirement.
  • Graduation from an accredited Aviation College degree or diploma program.
  • Commercial or military flight experience.
  • Experience with Flight Management Systems (FMS) and/or glass cockpit operations.
  • An internal Jazz referral.
