The Simulator Second in Command is responsible for maintaining currency in assigned programs to act as the Second-in-Command (SIC) for internal and external Customer Pilots during Recurrent, Initial, or generic training courses.
High school diploma or G.E.D. with two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants must possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings, with a minimum of 450 flight hours.
The role requires the physical ability to manipulate rudder/anti-torque controls with feet, reach and manipulate simulator controls, and navigate the simulator via a provided ramp. The employee must be able to exit a simulator during a malfunction, even in a severely pitched attitude. Essential vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds is required.
Work is frequently performed near moving mechanical parts, with occasional exposure to high or precarious places, outside weather conditions, and various environmental hazards such as noise, vibration, or airborne particles.
