The Simulator Second in Command (SIC) maintains program currency to act as a Second-in-Command for internal and external customer pilots during Recurrent, Initial, or generic training courses. The SIC ensures the delivery of high-quality training in accordance with established curricula and internal standards.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., with two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings, with a minimum of 450 flight hours prior to the start of an assignment.
The role requires regular use of hands, arms, and controls, as well as the physical range of motion to manipulate rudder/anti-torque controls, operate simulator devices, enter and exit the device via a ramp, and exit a simulator during a severely pitched malfunction. Employees must possess specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds is required. The work environment occasionally involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, outdoor weather, and noise.
