General Aviation Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic
A reputable aviation organization is actively seeking a highly skilled and meticulous General Aviation Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join its dedicated maintenance team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the utmost safety, compliance, and airworthiness of aircraft through expert inspection, troubleshooting, and repair, all in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations on diverse aircraft, their systems, and components.
- Diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical issues, meticulously identifying root causes and formulating appropriate repair solutions.
- Conducts thorough aircraft inspections in strict accordance with company protocols and FAA guidelines.
- Maintains accurate, detailed, and comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Utilizes technical manuals, intricate drawings, and complex schematics to effectively execute maintenance tasks.
- Ensures all work is completed in full compliance with stringent safety standards and established operational procedures.
- Collaborates effectively with avionics technicians, pilots, and fellow mechanics to ensure seamless operations and optimal aircraft performance.
- Contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
- Possession of a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrable experience as an aircraft mechanic, preferably within general aviation.
- A comprehensive understanding of various aircraft systems and their intricate components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex maintenance manuals, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and robust problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties in physically demanding environments.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required prior to employment.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station regulations is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with general aircraft maintenance and repair operations.
