Flight Attendant

Frontier Airlines seeks a dedicated Flight Attendant to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of passengers while delivering exceptional customer service. This role is integral to maintaining a positive onboard experience, requiring adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and established Frontier Airlines procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preflight safety checks of cabin emergency equipment.
  • Manage the proper loading and storage of carry-on luggage.
  • Ensure cabin safety and security during all phases of flight, including boarding and deplaning.
  • Prepare and secure doors, delivering departure and arrival information via the public address system.
  • Provide instruction and demonstration of onboard safety features.
  • Manage galley setup, check supplies, stow carts, and verify counts.
  • Sell snacks and beverages, manage transactions, and inform passengers about available products.
  • Provide emergency medical assistance, including CPR and first aid.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times.
  • Perform tasks requiring physical movement, including walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Commit to completing work assignments as per Frontier Airlines policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines.
  • Participate and comply with all DOT, FAA, and Frontier Airlines’ regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 20 years of age to begin the interview process.
  • 1 to 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Valid passport, with the ability to travel in and out of the United States and to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines.
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines, including restrictions on visible tattoos.
  • Willingness to relocate to an assigned base location.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods.
  • Adaptability to changing schedules and demands, including accepting short-notice schedule changes.
  • Willingness to fly both international and domestic routes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with passengers in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Capacity to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 60 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to sit securely in jump seats without extensions or modifications.

Additional Information:

  • This role involves operating various equipment, including beverage/snack carts, galley equipment, POS systems, and aircraft cabin equipment.
  • The work environment includes varying climate conditions, air turbulence, changing locations, variable hours, and enclosed spaces.
  • The position demands a fast-paced and physically challenging work environment.
  • Work shifts vary, including days, weekends, evenings, red-eyes, and holidays.
  • The position requires performing frequent repetitive motions, including bending and sustaining positions for extended periods.
  • Candidates must have 20/20 (or sufficient) vision and hearing to perform essential functions safely.
  • The ability to stand throughout most of a work shift and perform in-flight duties in a pressurized cabin is required.
  • The successful candidate must be able to reach, operate, and move emergency equipment and exits, including pushing and pulling a 100 lb galley cart and lifting luggage.
  • This position is under General Direction, with minimal daily instruction but with general guidance for new assignments. No supervisory responsibilities are included.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $25.50.
