The Pilot-in-Command is responsible for the safe transportation of passengers, crewmembers, and cargo during all aircraft operations, reporting to the Chief Pilot regarding company policies and procedures. This role involves FAR Part 91/135 operations as part of a crew. Four Corners emphasizes teamwork, stewardship, community, excellence, abundance, and customer obsession as its core values. Responsibilities:
- Exercises final authority for the operation of the assigned aircraft.
- Possesses the authority to delay, cancel, or discontinue a flight when conditions are unsuitable for the initiation or continuation of the flight.
- Maintains the authority to indicate a change in the planned flight when such a change is appropriate for the safer operation of the aircraft.
- Strictly adheres to company operating policies and procedures to mitigate the potential of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
- Responsible for flight planning, considering weather, routing, airports, traffic conditions, airway facilities, and aircraft performance.
- Ensures that a flight initiated is completed as planned and institutes necessary changes required by en route conditions.
- Conducts flights in a safe and prudent manner, including reviewing and reporting aircraft maintenance status, conducting preflight inspections, checking weather and facilities, and ensuring adherence to company policies, operations specifications, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Determines that weight and balance procedures are followed and that the aircraft's gross weight and CG are within limits.
- Ensures the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Accurately completes all trip paperwork.
- Adheres to the Certificate Holder's directions and instructions and complies with all operational specifications, regulations, and policies.
- Carries out duties and responsibilities in a professional manner, setting an example for all crewmembers.
- Reports all flight interruptions to the Company.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- G650 Aircraft type rating preferred.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 3500 hours total flight time.
- Minimum of 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command turbine time.
- Strong CRM skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and possess the ability to travel to any international destination.
- Must be enrolled in an FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol Program.
- Must pass a TSA Criminal History check.
- Candidate must reside within 90 minutes of Birmingham, AL, or be willing to relocate.
