Occidental (Oxy) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation International Captain to join its Aviation department in Houston, Texas. This full-time position involves commanding domestic and international flight operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism while supporting the development of flight crew members.
The Senior Aviation International Captain serves as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC), overseeing safe and efficient flight operations. This role demands exceptional crew resource management, sound judgment, and an enterprise-focused mindset. Key responsibilities include promoting safety culture, adhering to all aviation regulations and company policies, leading international trip planning, and maintaining expert knowledge of assigned aircraft, including the Gulfstream G650 and/or G280. The Captain will also ensure aircraft airworthiness, manage crew duty limitations, conduct thorough pre-flight activities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence. Active participation in the Safety Management System (SMS) and the Aviation Incident Management Team is expected.
