Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy), a global leader in carbon management headquartered in Houston, Texas, seeks an experienced Senior Aviation International Captain to join its Aviation group. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient domestic and international flight operations, primarily as Pilot in Command (PIC), and contributing to the professional development of flight crew members.
The Senior Aviation International Captain will serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC), upholding the highest standards of safety, passenger service, and professionalism. This role involves conducting all flight duties in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and standard aviation operating practices. The captain will lead international trip planning, maintain expert knowledge of assigned aircraft and international operations, and verify aircraft airworthiness and regulatory compliance. A key responsibility is fostering a positive team environment through effective crew resource management and sound judgment. The role also includes actively supporting the company's Safety Management System (SMS), collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives, and remaining current on industry developments.
