The Simulator Second-in-Command (SIC) is pivotal in supporting FlightSafety International’s elite training operations. This specialized role requires maintaining continuous qualification and proficiency in assigned aviation training programs to effectively serve as the Second-in-Command for both internal staff and external Customer Pilots during Recurrent, Initial, or generic multi-crew training courses within the established curriculum.
The Simulator Second-in-Command performs critical operational functions, including, but not limited to, the following duties:
A high school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D.) is required, combined with a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of directly related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior to the commencement of Simulator SIC duties, the applicant must possess and maintain the following certificates:

Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The typical noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
