FlightSafety International seeks a dedicated and qualified Simulator Second in Command (SIC) to support its world-class aviation training programs. The SIC is responsible for maintaining current qualifications in assigned aircraft programs, enabling them to competently serve as Second-In-Command for both internal and external customer pilots. This role is crucial for recurrent, initial, or generic training courses, ensuring the smooth and effective execution of established training curricula. The SIC will not perform instructional duties but will act as a proficient flying partner, upholding the highest standards of safety and operational readiness within the simulator environment.
The Simulator Second in Command will be tasked with the following essential duties:
A high school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D.) is required, accompanied by two to three (2-3) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior to commencing SIC duties, applicants must possess the following essential qualifications:
The role requires regular engagement in tasks involving the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; and clear verbal communication. Specific vision abilities required for this position encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position regularly involves lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds. The work environment frequently involves proximity to moving mechanical parts and occasionally includes working in elevated or precarious locations, outdoor weather conditions, and potential exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The typical noise level in the work environment is moderate.
