Position Summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a highly competent Simulator Second-in-Command (SIC) to support recurrent, initial, and generic training courses for internal and external customer pilots. The SIC is primarily responsible for maintaining program currency and acting as a proficient Second-in-Command within an established training curriculum, providing essential operational support.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements: The role demands regular use of hands for dexterity, handling objects, and operating controls; reaching with hands and arms; and effective verbal communication and hearing. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and possess taste or smell capabilities.

Specific physical capabilities include:

Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position regularly requires lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment: The work environment frequently involves proximity to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure may include high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold or heat; risk of electrical shock; risk of radiation; and vibration. The typical noise level in the work environment is moderate.
