The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified professionals to join the Flight Program Operations team. This role supports a diverse range of critical missions, including the inspection of navigational aids, commissioning of new equipment, research and development of avionics technology, flight testing, and critical event response for government agencies. As a Part 135 certificate holder, the FAA operates across various national locations, ensuring the safety and integrity of the national airspace system.
Candidates must possess the appropriate FAA pilot certificates and demonstrate the following flight experience:
Note: Selected candidates without an ATP certificate must successfully complete the ATP written exam within 60 days of appointment. To qualify at the FV-J level, applicants must possess an ATP certificate and an Airspace Inspection Pilot (ASIP) credential.
Applicants must provide FAA Form 3330-47-3 (ASIP) to verify flight hours. Candidates are evaluated based on their application package and documented work history. Per federal hiring guidelines, applicants should include specific examples in their work history that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position. This position is covered by the FAA Core Compensation plan. Promotion potential exists from the FV-I to the FV-J level, subject to qualification and training requirements.
