Job Title: MH-60R Instructor Pilot (IP) and Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot

Overview

The MH-60R Instructor Pilot (IP) and Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot is responsible for conducting instructional and test flights to evaluate aircraft proficiency following maintenance or modifications. This role focuses on providing high-level pilot training and ensuring the airworthiness of MH-60R assets.

Essential Responsibilities

Pilot and navigate MH-60R helicopters during operational and test sorties.
Provide comprehensive pilot training and maintain pilot proficiency standards.
Assist designated RSNF FCF Pilots with all phases of maintenance functional check flights, including preflight briefings, flight execution, and post-flight documentation.
Coordinate with maintenance contractors to troubleshoot in-flight discrepancies and verify maintenance repairs through ground and flight evaluations.
Manage and guide an approved MH-60R Flight Operations Program in strict accordance with Navy manuals, SOPs, and governing directives.

Minimum Requirements

Designation as a Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC).
Proven experience as an MH-60R Instructor Pilot (IP).
Documented background as an MH-60R Instructor and Functional Check Flight Pilot.
Minimum of 550 total flight hours.
Minimum of 50 Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) hours in the MH-60R.
Minimum of 100 hours of MH-60R FCF/Maintenance test flight experience.
Ability to work independently.
US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance.
Must successfully obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.

Physical and Mental Demands

The incumbent must be capable of passing an aeronautical/flight physical. Required physical activities include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and crouching.
