Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 600

Executive Jet Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join their team, operating a Gulfstream 600 aircraft based in Boca Raton, Florida. This is a unique opportunity to fly for a family with a long-standing history of aircraft ownership within a Part 91 operation. This role offers a comfortable work-life balance supported by a three-pilot rotation and a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant.

Purpose of Position:

The Pilot in Command holds final responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Gulfstream 600. This individual must comply with all company and regulatory requirements, while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers. The primary travel footprint for this aircraft is domestic, with occasional international trips. The schedule is flexible, offering an attractive work-life balance. EJM is seeking a safety-minded, service-oriented team player with a high attention to detail, who is local to South Florida or willing to relocate.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
    • Ensures all crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
    • Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks as required.
    • Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
    • Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as needed. Serves as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy.
    • Completes all pre-flight tasks, ensuring the aircraft is mission-capable by verifying maintenance status and recording any discrepancies.
    • Monitors and ensures proper aircraft ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
    • Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, providing exceptional customer service and meeting any special needs.
    • Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
  • Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
    • Provides quality service to owners and passengers while proactively seeking to enhance the EJM experience, investigating and resolving any service deviations.
    • Collaborates with fellow crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent experience for owners and passengers, resolving conflict and challenges professionally.
  • Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
    • Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
    • Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Certifications and Licenses:

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

Experience:

8-10 years of experience in the aviation industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):

  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is required.
  • FAA Type rating in one of the following heavy-cabin Gulfstream products: GV, GVI, or GVII, with strong preference given to GVII-typed individuals.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Time Requirements:
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
