Position Overview:
Jet Aviation Staffing is seeking two highly qualified and experienced G600 Pilots on behalf of a client operating a Part 91 account. While the aircraft is based at KBED, these roles are designed to be commutable from anywhere within the United States, offering pilots a flexible lifestyle. These positions represent additional headcount, specifically added to enhance the scheduling for the full-time pilot team. The operation involves approximately 70-80 flights per year, totaling around 200 flight hours annually, with global travel requirements. The additional pilots will facilitate crew rotation, allowing for cycles of 30-60 days.
The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Lead Captain, adhering to company operating policies and procedures. The Pilot in Command bears ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient execution of assigned flights, prioritizing safety, security, and quality above all. The Pilot in Command exercises final authority over the safe conduct of all flights assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command is responsible for:
- Operating the aircraft safely and determining optimal departure times and routes, including the authority to cancel flights based on prevailing conditions such as weather.
- Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict compliance with federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Instituting necessary operational changes mid-flight due to en route conditions, while adhering to appropriate company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conducting all flights in a safe and prudent manner, consistent with industry best practices and company standards.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining a thorough and complete understanding with the Second in Command regarding all operational aspects of the flight.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies on the discrepancy log as they occur and reporting them immediately to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) or designee. Determining deferral or repair necessity based on the approved Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and DOM direction, completing the discrepancy log as required.
- Ensuring the flight crew reports for duty properly attired and are both mentally and physically fit for flight operations.
- Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems authorized for operation, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Securing the aircraft after each flight, including arranging hangar storage if deemed necessary or instructed by company management.
- Obtaining the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized sources.
- Filing or ensuring the filing of flight plans with the FAA or relevant ICAO state ATC facilities.
- Analyzing area, en route, and terminal charts for the destination and alternate airports.
- Performing duties as the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
- Conducting required passenger safety briefings or delegating this duty to the Second in Command.
- Imparting knowledge and skills to the Second in Command to ensure preparedness for assuming Pilot in Command duties in an emergency or upon upgrade.
- Completing and submitting the leg manifest to operations control prior to each departure.
- Completing and submitting the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control upon concluding each flight day.
- Actively supporting the open sharing of information on safety issues and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
- Making an immediate report of any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- The Pilot in Command may delegate certain duties but retains ultimate responsibility.
- Performing other duties as required.
- Representing Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess:
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A GVII Type Rating.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- A minimum of 5 years of aviation experience.
- The ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to navigate and perform duties in varied environments, including heavy maintenance hangars and upscale customer areas. The work environment typically presents moderate noise levels, with occasional high volume during aircraft arrivals/departures. Frequent exposure to vibration and occasional fuel fumes may occur. The employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. Hangar environments may experience extreme temperature variations seasonally. The role requires physical capability, including the ability to use hands for handling and reaching, frequent standing, walking, and sitting, and occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds overhead. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, are essential.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $300,000 and $315,000. Please note, this range is not a guarantee of compensation; actual salary will be determined based on factors including experience, geographic location, and other specific requirements.
