Pilot in Command, Global 5000 Vision - Bedford, MA (KBED)

Purpose of Position
EJM is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position operating a Global 5000 Vision aircraft based at Bedford, MA (KBED). This is a dedicated 3-pilot account, complemented by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, conducting operations under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The account anticipates approximately 400 flight hours annually. The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently. This role requires strict adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers. Commuting is permitted only if a direct flight is available into BED.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for every assignment.
- Leads required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required.
- Serves as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all essential aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status to ensure mission capability.
- Records all aircraft discrepancies accurately in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and oversees aircraft ground servicing activities, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen.
- Conducts comprehensive passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Delivers the highest level of customer service and attends to any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel across all operational phases.
Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations promptly.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
- Resolves conflicts and challenges professionally and constructively.
Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all required regulatory and company training and ensures recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Previous experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Must possess a current FAA Type Rating applicable to the fleet.
- Candidates must have demonstrated Global Vision experience to be considered for this Pilot in Command position.
- Extensive international experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Meeting the following minimum flight time requirements is mandatory:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $270,000 – $300,000.
