Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 650

Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an experienced and highly qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based at Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD) in Dulles, Virginia. This position is part of a four-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 regulations.

The Pilot in Command bears ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This individual adheres to all company and regulatory requirements, while also providing an exceptional service experience for passengers. The ideal candidate will be a safety-conscious professional with a strong commitment to customer service. This dynamic account has a significant international component to its flight schedule; thus, extensive international experience is required. Preference will be given to local and type-rated candidates. Relocation assistance will be considered for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the safe operation of all flights, including compliant crewing and trip assignments.
  • Completes thorough flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations.
  • Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate risks.
  • Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel.
  • Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as defined by company policy.
  • Conducts comprehensive aircraft pre-flight tasks, ensuring the aircraft's maintenance status and mission capability.
  • Monitors and oversees all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) per SOPs.
  • Delivers passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, catering to specific passenger needs.
  • Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
  • Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, identifies and resolves service deviations, and collaborates with colleagues to ensure a consistent experience.
  • Maintains proficiency and compliance with regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels within the company's Safety Management System (SMS).

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate

Required Experience:

  • 8-10 years of professional aviation experience
  • Prior corporate or business aviation experience is preferred
  • FAA Type rating in the Gulfstream GVI
  • Extensive international experience in corporate aviation
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position

Minimum Time Requirements:

  • Total flight time: 3500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours
