Essential Responsibilities and Duties
The Global 6500 Captain will hold primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Global 6500 aircraft. Key duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensuring the safe and prudent conduct of all flights, adhering strictly to established protocols and regulations.
- Thorough review of aircraft maintenance status prior to each flight.
- Performing comprehensive pre-flight inspections in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Conducting exhaustive checks of weather conditions, navigational facilities along the planned route, and all designated airports, including suitable alternate airports.
- Operating all flights in full compliance with Solairus Aviation's operational policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Guaranteeing the utmost safety and security of all passengers, the aircraft, and crew members.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in adherence to current operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a strong aviation background, fulfilling the following minimum flight hour requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Turbojet Time: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 250 hours
Specific Qualifications and Certifications
Additional essential qualifications and certifications include:
- Possession of a type rating for the Global 6500 aircraft or a comparable large cabin business jet.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Availability and willingness to work on an on-call basis, accommodating a dynamic flight schedule.
- Commitment to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
- A primary residence situated within a two-hour driving radius of KAPA airport, or a willingness to relocate.
