Position Summary
Executive Jet Management is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 650 aircraft operating under Part 91 regulations. This is a two-pilot operation with low annual utilization, approximately 150 flight hours per year. The successful candidate will be based near Atlanta, GA, with consideration given to candidates based near West Palm Beach, FL.
This role requires a high degree of flexibility in scheduling and the ability to operate effectively within a dynamic, on-demand aviation environment. While the operation does not include a dedicated maintenance technician, comprehensive maintenance planning and oversight are supported by a full-time maintenance coordinator. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adherence to all regulatory and company policies, and consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to the principal.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flight, delivering an exceptional service experience, and maintaining proficiency and compliance. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments adhere to company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing accurate flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance for each assignment.
- Leading required briefings utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status and ensuring the aircraft is mission capable.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring completion of all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) per SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating special passenger needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with the crew and support personnel during all phases of flight operations.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with crew members and internal EJM partners to provide a consistent service experience, resolving conflict professionally.
- Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
Certifications and Licenses: Must possess a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license.
Years of Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant aviation experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is required, with experience in the Challenger 650 or applicable fleet type preferred.
- Must possess an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
